2007 RE-BRANDING AND REDESIGN
Thirdwave partnered with Sender to design the Dual-Brand website of Delta Machinery and Porter Cable. We then worked with parent company Black & Decker to build the redesigned site and integrate with the Black & Decker Content Management System.
FLASH INTEGRATED CONTENT MANAGEMENT ARCHITECTURE
Thirdwave developed an interactive Flash application called the "Shop Designer". This software provides website visitors with an opportunity to design their very own workshop floor plan incorporating Porter-Cable and Delta Machinery products.
Developed completely in Flash, the Shop Designer incorporated web services to display product detail information. Thirdwave was able to utilize the client’s existing content management system so that Porter-Cable and Delta staff could update Shop Designer products at will.
Some of the features on the Shop Designer include:
- The ability to become a member and manage your profile and saved floor plans
- Tool Advisor to help users choose the right product for their needs
- Suggested Layouts that professionals in the industry use in their own workshops
- User Layouts section supported by approval workflow
